Three Gorges Museum in Chongqing is a world-class museum telling the powerful story of the Yangtze River, the Three Gorges Dam, and the people displaced by it. Free admission, with moving exhibits on migration and ancient Ba culture.
Skip the main hall's movie and head straight to the second floor's 'Resettlement' exhibit for the most powerful experience. Don't miss the relocated Han dynasty stone carvings on the third floor. Arrive at 9 AM opening time to beat the tour bus crowds that arrive around 10:30 AM.
