黄山风景区
Huangshan Scenic Area is China's iconic granite peak landscape, famous for its sea of clouds, ancient pines, and Taoist history. A must-visit for nature lovers, it offers dramatic hikes, cable car access, and surreal sunrise views.
To beat crowds, take the first cable car at 6:30 AM and head directly to the West Sea Grand Canyon; most tour groups only do the eastern loop. For the best sea of clouds photo, go to the 'Flying-over Rock' viewpoint (Feilai Shi) instead of the crowded Bright Summit. If you're fit, walk down the 4 km 'Yungu Steps' instead of taking the cable car down — you'll see the Guest-Greeting Pine from a private angle.
Scenic area open 24 hours; cable cars run approximately 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM (varies by season)
Entrance: CNY 190 (about $27) plus cable car CNY 80-90 (about $11-13) per one-way trip
2 days (overnight stay recommended for sunrise)
