Huangshan Weather in October

October is one of the best months to visit Huangshan, with crisp autumn air, clear skies, and stunning fall foliage. However, the first week is extremely crowded due to National Day Golden Week. The sea of clouds is common, and temperatures are comfortable.

Pack layers, including a warm jacket for chilly mornings and evenings. A light sweater and long pants are ideal for daytime. Bring comfortable hiking shoes, a hat, and sunscreen. An umbrella for occasional showers.

Avoid the first week of October if you dislike crowds; otherwise, book everything months in advance. The weather is excellent for hiking, but trails can be congested. Sunrise spots fill up early.
