Lhasa Weather in October

October brings clear, dry weather and stunning autumn colors. Days are mild, but nights get cold. The Golden Week holiday (Oct 1-7) causes a spike in domestic tourism, but crowds thin out afterward.

Pack warm layers: a down jacket or heavy fleece for evenings, and long-sleeve shirts for daytime. A hat and gloves are useful for early mornings. Sunscreen and sunglasses are essential.

Golden Week is extremely busy; book everything well in advance. After the holiday, crowds drop significantly, offering a more peaceful experience. October is excellent for photography with clear skies.
